BPO staff, 3 others killed in accidents

New Delhi: Four persons were killed in separate road accidents in the city. In the first case, a 60-year-old woman died after she was hit by a speeding DTC bus in the Badarpur area on Wednesday. Premvati and her husband were crossing the road when they were hit by the bus. The driver, Harinder Singh, has been arrested.
In another accident, a 30-year-old motorcyclist died after he was hit by an unidentified vehicle on the Nehru Place flyover on Wednesday afternoon. The victim, Hrithik Moolchandani, was going to his Safdarjung home when he was hit from behind. Some passers-by told the police that he had been hit by a truck but the vehicle has not yet been identified. The victim’s father is a businessman.
In yet another accident, a 30-year-old call centre employee died and his colleague was injured after they were hit by a trailer near Kalkaji bus depot on Tuesday.
Nitin Pal and Rakesh were returning from their Okhla office on a motorcycle when they were hit by the vehicle, whose driver sped off. While Pal died on the spot, Rakesh is admitted in AIIMS with severe head injuries.
In the fourth accident, a tractor driver died in a headon collision with a tempo on the Chattarpur road in Mehrauli. The accident took place around 11 am. The driver died on the spot.
