Six killed, 45 injured in road accidents in Rajasthan

Jaipur: Six people, including two women NREGS workers, were killed and 45 injured in two road accidents in Ajmer and Jodhpur districts in Rajasthan this afternoon.

According to police sources, four people were killed and three injured when their jeep rammed into a stationary truck tanker near Mangliawas on the Ajmer-Beawar Road. The victims were proceeding towards Beawar from Ajmer.

The injured were admitted at an Ajmer Hospital.

In another mishap this afternoon, two women NREGS workers were killed and 42 others, mostly women, were injured when the truck on which they were returning home after finishing day’s work at a work site near Gangani village under Mathania sub division of Jodhpur district, overturned.

The injured were admitted to the Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Jodhpur.
